ATLANTA (Oct. 24) – Georgia Tech’s doubles tandem of junior Bobbi Guthrie and senior Tamarra Jenkin captured the flight C title at the Yellow Jacket/Holiday Inn Midtown North Invitational Sunday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.
Guthrie and Jenkin teamed to defeat Marcela Kotesocova and Silvia Sosmarova of South Alabama, 8-5, in the final.
In the flight A singles final, Sosmarova topped Tech senior Sabrina Pardo, 6-3, 6-4.
In the flight C singles final, Anna Savitskaya of Clemson won over Tech freshman Charlotte Pernet, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
In the flight B singles consolation final, Wisconsin’s Shana McElroy defeated Tech sophomore Mason Miller, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
