Women's Relay 4th, Porter 5th At Penn Relays

ATLANTA (Apr. 28) — The Georgia Tech women placed fourth in the shuttle hurdle relay and Clayton Porter led the Tech men with a fifth-place finish in the long jump in the second day of competition at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.

Tech’s quartet of Ayana Grant, Nikole Jeffery, Tosan Osaigbovo and Mishanta Reyes combined for a time of 55.82 in the shuttle hurdle relay. Porter, a junior from Chesapeake, Va., leaped a season-best 7.54 in the long jump.

The Tech men placed ninth in the distance medley relay at Brendon Mahoney, Aaron Sink, Brent Johnson and Joe Stegall posted a time of 9:45.85. In the men’s 4×400 relay heats, the Tech team of Michael Johnson, Tosin Tomori, Sharif Azim and Bryan Swarn ran 3:08.72.
