THE FLATS — Kickoff times and TV designations were announced Friday for each of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets’ first three football games of the 2015 season.
Georgia Tech will open the 2015 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 against Alcorn State at 7:30 p.m. ET on the ACC’s regional sports networks. It’ll be the first series meeting between the schools.
The following week, the Jackets will host the Tulane Green Wave with a 3:30 p.m. ET kick on Sept 12 (also on ACC RSN). Tech leads the all-times series 36-13 and it will be Tulane’s first game at Tech since Oct. 25, 1980.
As previously announced, Georgia Tech will travel to South Bend, Ind., on Sept. 19 to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Tech and Notre Dame will meet for the first time since 2007 when the Jackets posted a 33-3 win in South Bend.
Additionally, Georgia Tech’s Thursday night game Nov. 12 against Virginia Tech will kick at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech will play each other on a Thursday night for the sixth time and for the fifth time at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The teams have met on Thursday night in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2013.

2015 Georgia Tech season tickets are on sale now. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the Georgia Tech Ticket Office (M-F 9 a.m.-5 p.m.), by phone at 888-TECH-TIX, or online at togetherweswarm.com. Season tickets for Tech’s seven-game home schedule start at just $245 — a value of $35 per game. Great lower-level seats are available from $350. There is no per-game ticket or Tech Fund price increase in 2015. The only difference is the addition of a seventh home game (Georgia).
