Tech to Host NFL Lecture Series

ATLANTA (Nov. 10) – The National Football League’s “Career In Sports” Lecture Series will come to Georgia Tech’s GCATT Building Monday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free to all college students and the general public.

The series is part of the NFL’s community outreach program surrounding Super Bowl XXXIV to be played in Atlanta on Jan. 30, 2000. The lecture series is intended to be an interactive and entertaining forum that provides young people with an idea of what it takes to enter and succeed in various sports careers.

The panel discussion and Q&A session will feature experts in various fields along with a local moderator. Scheduled to speak at Georgia Tech are Rob Jackson of the Atlanta Falcons, who will address sports marketing; Chris Russo of NFL Enterprises, who will address sports technology; Mike Pearl of Turner Broadcasting, who will address sports broadcasting/production; and Sue Robicheck of the NFL, who will address event management.

The NFL will provide a small gift for each attendee and conduct a free raffle for NFL prizes at the end of the evening.
