Menocal Named to All-CWS Team

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech senior shortstop Victor Menocal was named to the all-College World Series team by a vote of members of media in attendance at the event. Menocal hit .563 (9-for-16) with four runs scored and three RBI in Tech’s three games against South Carolina and Clemson.

Menocal becomes the fourth player in Georgia Tech history to be named to the College World Series team. Shortstop Nomar Garciaparra, who wore No. 5 like Menocal, catcher Jason Varitek and pitcher Brad Rigby were all named to the all-CWS team in 1994.
