Jackets Trounce Wallace Dothan CC, 27-3

ATLANTA – Freshman Whitney Haller hit two home runs and drove in seven runs and sophomore Aileen Morales went 4-for-5, with a double, triple and two RBIs to lead the Georgia Tech softball team to a 27-3 victory over Wallace Dothan Community College in a 14-inning game at Glenn Field on Saturday afternoon.

Haller, a native of Marietta, Ga., also shined for the Jackets in the circle, striking out eight of the nine batters she faced.

Senior All-Atlantic Coast Conference outfielder Amy Hosier added a home run and two RBIs for the Jackets, going 4-for-6 at the plate, with two doubles. Junior Daisy Paez connected on a home run and tallied two RBIs and a double.

Sophomore Stephanie Butler went 3-for-4, with two stolen bases and one RBI for the Jackets. Sophomore pitcher Whitney Humphreys fanned six batters in four innings pitched and allowed just one hit.
