Gerard Named Assistant Sports Information Director

ATLANTA – Seth Gerard has been named the assistant sports information director at Georgia Tech and will serve as the primary contact for softball and swimming & diving while assisting with football and the entire 17-sport program.

Gerard comes to Georgia Tech after serving as the assistant sports information director at the University of Massachusetts for three years. He served as the primary media liaison for the Minutemen softball, women’s basketball, field hockey and tennis teams. During his tenure at UMass, Gerard held the title of media coordinator for the 2006 & 2007 NCAA Softball Amherst Regional as well as the 2003 NCAA Field Hockey National Championship.

Prior to being named assistant director of sports information at UMass, Gerard worked two years as the media relations assistant. He served time as the primary contact for the women’s basketball, softball, women’s soccer and field hockey teams.

Gerard, a resident of Amherst, Mass., received his bachelor’s degree from UMass in sport management in 2002.
