Ashlee Kidd Named Women's ACC Indoor Track Most Valuable Performer

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech senior Ashlee Kidd was selected as the Women’s Indoor Track Most Valuable Performer for the second consecutive season, announced by the league office on Friday night. Kidd, a senior from St. Petersburg, Fla., registered a pair of first-place finishes at the ACC Indoor Championships last weekend.

The sprinter captured the 400-meter dash for the third time in the last four years crossing the finish line in 53.54. In addition, Kidd won the 200-meter with a time of 23.75. Her sixth-place 4×400-meter relay team finished at 3:45.59. Kidd had previously provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championship in both the 200m and 400m and is first in the ACC in both events.

Kidd, who is running at the Iowa State NCAA Qualifier this weekend, will be competing at the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 9-10.
